Both Ryan and Jamie pride themselves on having had their hands in the field early in their careers. Jamie spent several years as a field landman working on both large and small prospects throughout Texas, while Ryan gained valuable experience both in the field and as an in-house landman for one of the pioneering companies in the shale revolution. It is these skills learned early in their careers, coupled with the necessary legal expertise, that has allowed them to obtain the finest understanding of the complex issues that go along with energy exploration and production. When considering associates, Alford & O’Brien, PC specifically recruit individuals with either prior industry experience or who have been evaluated through our oil and gas specific clerkship program.
